CathyinME
Hi All!!! On another board someone had said that you couldn't use the wax tarts in an electric melter. Why?? If not what do you use in the electric ones?
BruceCarvesWax
Maybe they were talking about a candle warmer...for jars? I would rather use the electric tart warmers than the tealight ones anyday. I think the best ones are the ones that use a light bulb to warm the wax. With anything you have to test the scents as some will smoke and some will not. I would test the melt pool of any warmers and go from there. I dont like my temp to get very close to 200F. 185-195F would me my ideal temp to hold melted tarts at. CathyinME
Nope, they weren't taking about the warmers. They said only to use them in the tealight warmers not electric ones. Still confused!! I don't see what diffeerence it makes. Hopefully someone can explain this to me!
Candle Makin Momma
I can't think of any reason. I am bad and use my in a potpourri simmerer, maybe that's what they are thinking of.

SuzieE
Some tart warning labels that you purchase will state not to use the electric tart warmers.I have used both for my tarts and they both seem to work equally well.
Crafty1_AJ
I love my electric tart warmers! I have one with the light bulb and one with the warming plate under the bowl. Both work great.Yes, I've also heard the simmering potpourri pots were not meant for tarts and might get them too hot.
Candle Makin Momma
Actually I've heard people say the simmer pots don't get hot enough But I use soy and those puppies melt easy!
Sharon in KY
Yankee use to say their tarts could only be used in t-lite warmers. Now that they sell both you can melt them in electric and the t-lite. hummmm
Terrie
I use/sell only the electric warmers with the heating plates. Never have had a problem!
