candlebean
Sounds painful to my little lips :lipsrseal
Marisa
LOL. they are not really painful, if used properly they feel about the same pain as a scrub on your body.. You just have to use an exfoilator suitable for the lips. I do know several people who use emulsified body butter with almond meal or jojoba beads. It may work as you rinse off instead of leaving it on the lips.. Someone is makingon in the lip swap im hosting and i cant wait to try it. Lip stuff is so addiciting! jwahlton
Why not use sugar?
pamperme
How about some sugarflavor oilbeeswax sweet almond oilmake it softer instead of like a lip balm
RobinInOR
You can also use clays or rice flour for the exfoliant, instead of sugar. The recipe I have calls for 3 teaspoons sugar to 6 oz of lip balm. I think I used a little bit less.
macyboutique
Robin, do you just add sugar to a lip balm recipe and that is it? It can't be that easy:shocked2: Or would I add some other stuff too? Thanks to all the gave some inputs.:rolleyes2
jwahlton
cornmeal is also another gentle exfoliant but I"m not sure about on the lips
Scent Cellar
I would like to make one like the Mary Kay Satin Lips Mask .. it does wonders for my lips but can get expensive. I will have to read the ingredients and see whats in it for the gentle exfoliation.
