xsami3000x
OK so I've got a 16 floz bottle of RBO, an 8 floz bottle of Avocado and several other oils. How on earth do I figure out how much oil I have by weight without pouring the oil out and weighing it?My brain hurts...OK I think I may have it now and just need someone to tell me I'm right lolI multiply the specific gravity by the # of fluid ounces I have and that equals the ounces by weight I have.example avocado oil .912 specific gravity * 8 fluid ounces = 7.296 ounces by weightSami

xsami3000x
Where to find gravity for oils?Bitter Creek's print catalog page has some, otherwise I just googled "specific gravity avocado oil" and it came up with several sites. This site seems to have a few oils listed with the specific gravityhttp://www.wellnaturally.com/carrier_oils.htmlSami
Carrie
Did you buy the 16oz of RBO and the 8oz of Avocado from a supplier? If you did, they sold you the products by weight not volume.
xsami3000x
No I picked them up at the grocery store, I just wanted a sampler of several oils just to play with, great for trying lotions and scrubs because I never need the whole bottle but I want to try cp and use the oils I have before I buy more.Sami
