TerriWV
I was going through my cabinet for something, and ran across a can of evaporated milk. Has anyone used this in soap? If so, how did you do it and did it turn out okay? Thanks!!
CareBear
Don't know diddley about soap, but I can give you a good chicken soup recipe with it! Assuming I can find it, of course, I've replaced all my food recipes with B&B recipes!
lbtddr
i used it once just because i had it .it turned out good could not tell the difference from my other milk soaps.
Carriegsxr6
i forget why, but i dont think you should use it cause it has a sweetener in it. Same thing with sweetened coconut milk, use the one that is unsweetened.
CareBear
Does evaporated milk have sugar added? I think you are thinking of Sweetened Condensed Whole Milk (yum yum)
Noodle
I don't think that you asked a dumb question. I used evaporated milk a couple of times. It performs the same as milk. Go for it!
jwahlton
Sure you could use evaporated milk. I've not used it but I would!
friendlyMOM
I am new to soap making but I used it in one batch and I used the evaporated goat milk too, now someone said something about not using it because of the sweetner, anybody know if it is true? I have not heard that before and it got me to thinking maybe should not use the batch I made with the evap. milk, hope it wont hurt the baby, as I washed her with it.:undecided
dashmo37
Evaporated Condensed Milk and Sweetened Condensed Milk are not the same. The sweetened version is most likely Eagle Brand Milk and used in baking and such. EC Milk can be any number of brands.
