friendlyMOM
okay I have been using the lye from Lowes but had gotten some from Alabaster, I used it and noticed the temperature of it got much higher than the lowes brand, is there a reason why? Just hoping something is not wrong with one of them:sad2:
Carriegsxr6
did you mix both of them in water? In the same type of container? I noticed that when I mix my lye in milk or tea, it gets hotter. Also if I use a glass container as aposed to a plastic one.
Crafty1_AJ
You might want to try keeping your soaping water in the fridge. Then you can add your lye to cold water when you mix it up.
friendlyMOM
noe used same container and always stick my measured water in the fridge for 15 to 30 minutes before mixing and I use the same container, just thought maybe the lye was bad, but will use it some more and keep watch on it, thanks all
