friendlyMOM
Was wondering what the average size you all cut your loaf soap into? Does everyone cut them to fit into the soap boxes, or should I say is their a standard size for the soap boxes?
prairieannie
I used to cut mine to fit boxes, until I started to hate packaging them that way lol. Now I just cut them into chunky bars and put some homespun around them, or leave them completely nekkid! If I do find it necessary to wrap them, I use tissue paper, and a label. My bars average 4-5 oz.
Labgal
I try to cut mine about 1 inch thick. The log mold I use holds 3 lbs of soap, so cutting them at 1 inch gives me a a bar that weighs about 4 ounces and fits nicely into a standard soap box. I have seen some boxes that are a bit thinner-I think 3/4 inch.
Darwin
I use a loafie mold, that way I don't have to cut them. They usually average 5 oz. and are 1.5 in thick and about 3 in long.

Sara
Mine are about 4.5 ounces. I like them small enough to fit comfortably in my hand. My favorite shape/size is the rounds though.
thecandlespastore
Mine are between 4 to 5.5 oz. I just made a batch with Angel where each bar is 10 oz, I wanted that french soap cube look.
Grumpy Girl
5.25 to 5.50 ounce and 1" thick. I love my soap cutter. I worked quite a long time to standardize my bars. I finally found a series of molds that will let me do just that.
