maryann
I don't want to start anything just thought I'd pass this along, as it was a concern of mine...... After the discussion on this thread about Morton Salts http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22228 I did some research and also contacted Morton Salts via email and by phone. I wanted to share an email I received from Rose at Morton Salts :We tried to send you an e-mail but it came back to Morton. Our tech people recommend using Morton White Crystal Solar Salt in coarse and medium grades for bath salts.Sincerely,MORTON SALTConsumer Affairs"MaryAnn Fenton" maryann@4theluvofjam.com To <saltinfo@mortonsalt.com> 07/04/2006 07:27 AM cc Subject WWW Feedback from Ask Rose Below is the result of your feedback form. SunshineSundries
Thanks for the info! I've been wanting to do these to go along with my bath line - I saw them on the net some time ago and thought they would be cool to make for the kids (they are always bringing *something* into the bath tub with them!), So would you just spritz them with water/color/FO mix like I do with my coarse salts?? I would imagine if you tried to soak them they would just melt! Thanks again for the info (And my kids thank you too! ).Life & Light!Tish
maryann
I use body safe colorant w/ the solar salt and add my FO dendritic salt, then mix the two (sometimes I mix a few other ingredients like corn starch and epsom salts).
