stacien
For any of you that make feathered palm wax pillars do you always have to heat the mold before you pour? If not, what happens?
dcroome2005
Always heat the mold. You will not get the effects if you dont!
Henryk
You know, I stopped doing that - I figured I was pouring the wax so hot anyway - still got the effects with candlewic palms anyway.

stacien
Sheila, do you mean you don't heat the molds? My wax says to be poured 180 the absolute lowest. Should I try one without heating it and see what it does. I have made them with the molds heated and had beautiful results but I don't have the opportunity to heat them in the oven all of the time. Carriegsxr6
I never heat my molds either and still get great effects.

stacien
That is great to know. I will test one without heating it and see how it works. Do I have to worry about sink holes since it is a harder wax?
