laura9259
I made this last year - scented in PUMPKIN SPICE. It came out better than I thought it would.
Carlena
Laura that is just TOO CUTE! I think i see now that you made each individual embed & placed them in an embedded basket! How NEAT is that?~Carlena~
laura9259
Those are my fall embeds - I whipped the wax and put the embeds in it :smiley2:
Luci
Laura, that's what I had in mind doing. Do you scent your baskets? Also, do you like the affect of whipping the wax better than just pouring it? I love the way the apples look in the baskets I did, but I wasn't 100% happy with how the wax worked and felt that some of the embeds weren't secure. laura9259
Yes - I scented the basket too. I do like the look of whipped wax. What I did was to pour the basket 3/4 full of wax - then i started sticking in the embeds and adding the whipped wax until I got the heighth that i wanted. I haven't had any trouble with them coming loose.Of course i don't ship these - so I am not to sure how they would hold up - I only sell to local customers. laura9259
I use a mixture of container wax and astorlite V. Just melt your wax and pour into a pyrex or metal bowl - as it starts to set up - whip it with a fork or a whisk until it looks like whipped cream

Luci
I've used the straight paraffin wax I got at Michael's for whipped wax. Did the same as Laura. It makes great foam for a beer candle.
