britt1
Is there a standard ratio of perservative used in lotion or creams? I've looked at a lot of recipes, I would really like to make a few that do not have perservatives in the recipe, so I would need to add them of course. Any suggestions on how much or what kind? KFTS
there is a good thread here. Different preservatives have different applications, such as the heat it can be added at or the oil/water percentage of your product, etc. MMS has some preservative info on their site too. http://www.thescentreview.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=1130
jazzbo848
you can also go to the suppliers that sell preservatives and see the reccomendations (sp) that they make.cheryl
Carrie
Here is a great place to start. Bunny has posted this in the B&B faq section.http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21759Once you decide on a preservative you think will work, go to a supplier site and read up on the recommended percentages.
