OutlandishLady
OK, I am thinking about plunging into some EOs for CP. I can't buy a ton at first, so what would be a good starting point (5-6)?

Bunny
And lavender... That's the only thing I'd add!
Scent Cellar
Add lime e/o to your list .. quite inexpensive & great to blend with.

CareBear
Not to hijack, but I have some lavender EO but not sure how to use it in soap...What level? Or should I blend it with something? Does it go well with GM or honey or anything?Problem is, I hate lavender myself, so am totally at a loss...
OutlandishLady
Hmmm, OK, I'll have to pass on the Patch, it just makes me want to heave (hope Scented never reads this....). I actually have some, opened the bottle, and about tossed my cookies (really). I'll start plotting my purchases Thanks for the help!
Scent Cellar
Put that patchouli on the classifieds & see how many people want to snap it up ... I am such a patch fan.
Bunny
Yeah.. I forgot about the lime, and I used it today! Tangerine is awesome too, but a little more pricy. Still not bad in the whole scheme of things.
cimbah
Lavender/Mint is a nice blend so I'd get those two for sure. :smiley2:
clover
I also like woods. Cedarwood is good & pretty inexpensive
Carriegsxr6
Lavender Litsea CubebaSpearmintI find that these are the best blending EOs If you want a mint EO, use Spearmint rather than peppermint. It may smell too sweet on its own, but trust me, you will love it so much more when using it for blending. Litsea cubeba is the best type of lemon citrus EO IMO and Lavendar is just a must have. Crafty1_AJ
Oh yes, cedarwood is nice in blends. Black pepper is nice in blends. Even if you don't like patch straight up, it does lend a really super nice note to blends. I'm that way with lavender ~ I hate it straight up, but in blends, it can be nice! Ann M
One of my favorite blends is Lavender Mint Splash. One part Lavender, One part Spearmint, 4 Parts Sweet Orange. It a great one.I also love my Energizing Blend; 3 part Spearmint, 1 part Peppermint, 1 part Lemongrass, 1 part sweet orange and 2 parts grapefruit.Ann M
