JulianaLeo
I was wondering if Ecowax could be used in place of beeswaxwhen making Cold process soaps? I have used it in Melt and Pourto firm up the soap. Since Ecowax is a natural soy product, and has the consistency of beeswax pellets, I was curious to know if anyone has tried this.ThanksJules
Carriegsxr6
I am pretty sure soy wax is softer than beeswax, so I dont think the sap values would be the same. But anyhow, MMS has soy wax listed in their Lye Calculator, so you can plug that in and get a proper result. I havent used it in CP, but have used it in lotion bars, lip balms and whipped butters. Kymber
I use ez-soy in a couple of my CP recipes...but not sure how that compares to beeswax?
mwolbers
Eco soy is not recommended for use on your skin. If I felt the urge to add soy wax, I'd have to use the cosmetic grade.
Meridith
Soy is much softer than BW. So what does the addition of soy wax do for a soap?
