SouthernGal
I'm using straight cyclo, f/o & 4 oz. bottles. Does anyone know an estimate of how many 4 oz. bottles you can get from a 7lb. jug? I'm thinking it should be about a minimum of 28 bottles :undecided ..........Tia
Funky Monkey
28 is what I got too. 16oz = 1 lb. x 7 lbs / 4Hey.. I just did math. Can I get a standing ovation please?
Candle Man
A 7 LB jug should be a 1 gallon container which is 128 oz's.
thecandlespastore
7 pounds would be 112 ounces, 8 pounds makes 128:D . You will have a little bit more than 28 bottles. It is recommended you use 1 ounce of fragrance for every pound of cyclo (I think, lol), so 7 ounces of fragrance plus 112 ounces of cyclo give you 119 ounces, which will give you 29.75 bottles, so round up and you will have 30 Four ounce bottles of spray. SouthernGal
Thanks everybody. I'm sorry if it sounded like a stupid (?). It's just where I purchased it at refered to it as a 7lb. jug but called all their other products as 1 gallon jugs. So, I thought maybe the math was different because of weight (like the f/o). Thanks again, .
thecandlespastore
Post a pic when you are done so we can see those lovely bottles:grin2:
Candle Man
Ok I got my math wrong. I thought just because it is a 1 gallon jug then it had a full gallon or 128oz's in it. So 112oz's is 7 LB's.Now I need to re-figure my cost based on 112oz's.
sockmonkey
Don't get confused candleman. Different materials in the same "gallon" jug can weigh different amounts. Lotion is thicker and heavier than water. If you poured each seperately and filled a gallon container, you would likely get different weights. If her supplier sells hers based on pounds, then that's what she needs to go by. If your's sells it by the gallon (not pounds), then you should be able to go with 128 oz.
