lsbennis
Hi SilverOrchid,A lot of the websites that sell the FO's will have a top ten list of their best sellers...I get a lot of ideas from that...also alot of what sells is determined by the geographical region you live in. I live in South Florida so I do a lot better with tropical scents tourist love to bring home the smell of their vacation to burn during the cold winter...lol HTH
Crafty1_AJ
Stock scents with general appeal first, if you want my opinion (and who doesn't? ) Go for a good vanilla, a good citrus, a good berry, a good cinnamon / spicy, a good floral or two (lilac and lavender sell well for me), a good fresh & clean scent, and maybe a designer dupe or two (I sell tons of Love Spell candles, for example). Most people are going to like at least one of these types.I also look for top-selling scents on websites. Ten jillion satisfied customers can't be wrong. Happy candlemaking, and hope that helps! SilverOrchid
Thanks for the advice.. you guys are great Im so glad I found this board to help me muddle through lol Im making my list and will narrow it down from there.. I live outside Philadelphia ( about 45 to an hour) so my sales will be alot of city not so much country.. but I know standards like vanilla, cinnamon etc.. will always be a wanted ( even if I cant stand the smell of vanilla lol)
SilverOrchid
My other question about FO's is.. what makes some FO sellers better than others, do some dilute their FO's? Ive been using candles and supplies so far they have been pretty good, Ive bought 2 that I havent liked.. anyone else try them?
