StephD
I'm tossing around the idea of making electric candles for my daughter's teachers for Christmas. I just wondered if a soy pillar blend would work well in these. I have found some molds online but they don't really say whether to use soy or parafin. I would prefer soy as that is what I have. Any ideas?Stephanie
Carriegsxr6
I have found that soy pillar wax is way too brittle to use in any type of flexible mold.
StephD
Thanks. I didn't know if I could use a soy wax or if I needed parafin or what. Stephanie
grandmaskitchen
Soy has a lower melt point which could cause the candle to soften too much. I use paraffin with a higher melt point to keep it from softening. I've made quite a few and none of them have melted yet.
