Making Black Reddig-Glo look like BLACK

Recommended Posts

Using 6oz tin ...EZsoy wax, Leather FO (which throws amazingly well!) and I'm trying to get the color as close to black as possible. I first used 1/2 chip Reddig-Glo Black dye chip and the candle looked light plum. Okay...I increase to a full chip of dye and the candle looks like a dark plum. Is there anything I can do to make this more black? And...if I continue add more dye chips is it going to affect my wicking?

TIA

The best black I have gotten in the past was with a dye called "pitch black" - BCN flakes, or the pitch black candle cocoon flakes - they do not seem to be the same product though. The BCN were more like "drops" (looked almost like black vybar to me), and the ones from cocoon actually looked like flakes. Both worked pretty good IMO.
