Deb1350
Hi all, I was wondering how you store buttermilk and goatmilk powders. How long is the shelf life? Do I need to store them in the fridge? TIA
RobinInOR
I store the buttermilk powder in the fridge after it's been opened. It must say that on the can cuz I wouldn't do it otherwise I go through a can in 6 months though cuz I actually use it for cooking too, so I'm not sure what the shelf life is. Probably a year or so if it isn't opened.I just checked on the web for the brand I use - it says indefinate if not opened, 1 year+ if in fridge. swamp_deb
My buttermilk powder is in the fridge and the goat milk powder is in the freezer. I can't remember the shelf life of either.
Carrie
The goat milk powder has a 1 month shelf life if it's not frozen.
