Everito Bandito
The size and kind of plug would be helpful to know. Even then, I may be of no help, but as it stands right now the question isn't really answerable,(<is that a word..lol) is it?
IndyGirl
why do you want to drill a hole in the mason jar?
littysmom
I want to make a hole in the jar to run a plug thru for a silicone candle light. I'm sure you've seen them. You add rosehips, pine cones ect and add a homespun cloth around the top of the jar. Makes it really prim looking. Some body in the family wants one. I callled AC Moore and they said you uese a diamond cut drill bit and keep it lubricated as you cut. LIsa

fredron
What size plug are you using?Fredron
fredron
You want to hold the glass verrrrrry steady & drill verrrrry slowly. Keep the bit well lubricated & take your time. 5/8" sounds very big though, why can't you drill a 1/4" hole & pass the cord through before you attach the plug to the cord. The more smaller, the more better. (Old Iraqi army saying)Fredron
