Okispider
I have decided to jump in with both feet and start making soap..But as a newbie at this, after reading the recipe section, I notice there is no mention of what the processes are to make them. I understand how to use the calculators, but which method do we use to "cook" the recipes? Thanks in advance...Linda
Bunny
Any method can be used for the recipes. CP, HP, ITMHP, CPHP, etc.
RobinInOR
Look around the net for soap tutorials, there's a bunch of them.Candletech has a hot process one http://www.candletech.com/hpsoap/A cold process one http://watersgulch.com/howtocp.shtmlPersonally, I'd go to millersoap.com and read anything and everything there if you haven't already - that's where most people start. Good information.Have fun and stay safe!
Carriegsxr6
Most recipes are good for both CP and HP, except with CP after you combine all ingredients you pour into a mold and let it sit there till it gets hard and the water slowly evaporates out on its own. With HP you combine all ingredients into your crock pot and keep stirring until you cook the water out.
GrayMaire
The Miller soap site is fantastic! This is a great one too, IMHO: http://www.geocities.com/blueaspenoriginals/(There are more good links on this site as well.)HTH Lori
