cbv1
Hi everyone! I have soap drying all over my house. I need to devise some type of system that doesn't take up so much space. I found a website one time where they had a soap drying rack that you could roll around and collapse if necessary but I can't find this site again for the life of me! Can you experienced soapers share your soap drying methods please?
idacandlelady
Can't help you with your problem but That contraption sounds very cool. I also have the same problem and would like to get some ideas!
mountainmadness
I purchased a stainless steel movable rack from Sam's Club. It works very well for drying soap and for storing supplies. I also had my husband put up brackets and shelves in a portion of the garage that I use for soap drying when my other rack is full.HTH. CC on Maui
If you have an area where you can place shelving overhead (if you don't have the floor space for a shelving fixture), you'll find that the vinyl coated closet shelving works great. LaVida
walmart has cheap galvanized shelving units w/ wooden shelves. They're easy to put together and you can buy several and just add the shelves to one. I think they're $30.
cbv1
I will check out Walmart. I don't have a Sam's club membership but I do have one at Costco, I will check there. Thanks for the suggestions. I found this one website http://soapmakersequipment.com/trays/ and this looks interesting but it wasn't the site I initially found, which I can't find now. Kymber
I bought 2 sets of those snap together chrome cube units from Target....they work great!
Carrie
I went to Michaels and bought a ton of cookie cooling racks that are stackable. I put them on the top of my book cases, it's warmer near the ceiling. The racks were on sale for I think $5 for 3 racks.
heirloomoriginals
I have a wooden shoe rack that I bought at Walmart. they don't have them at my walmart any more, but i do want to get another one of the white metal shoe racks that have 4 shelves to use for now (until I need more space, LOL)Steph

cbv1
Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions everyone! They are all inexpensive suggestions which is also a good thing!!I finally found the website I was looking for http://www.kelseiscreations.com/page3.htmlThis metal rack towards the middle of the page looks interesting, though it is more expensive than the solutions provided by all of you. Thanks again!
thecandlespastore
Ouch!! I literally got the same thing except mine is very sturdy plastic for $50 at Home Depot, and mine hold about 125 bars of soap per shelf. Can you imagine the shipping on that metal shelving system? TexasBrat
I found the same shelving unit at Costco like the Kelsei one and I paid $70.00. I haven't used them for soap but I have them in my craft room for supplies. Last I knew Costco still has them in stock.

Ruby
Hi..I use an old plant stand I once had stored. It is about 5 feet long with 3 shelves. Look around for summer clearance items, maybe? HTH Ruby
Michi
Yep, you can use just about anything for a drying rack, just put on your creative hat. LOL And I'm sure it'll be a heck of a lot cheaper than that one at the soaper site.I got a metal shoe rack at Walmart on clearance for $7-now wish I would have gotten another one (although I have no room for it. ), but has four racks and holds a TON of soap and it sits right on top of my supplies dresser. Kaybee23
I have a really good shelving unit from Home Depot.Me too...it is about 4 tiers high and I bought wheels to go on the bottom of it, so I could bring it to the kitchen to clean up the bars. I also bought some plastic canvas and layed on the shelves, to hold the soap on better.
Grumpy Girl
If you have a bread company/bakery in your area you can always call and ask if they have any old proofing racks they want to get rid of. Either that or the upright bread tray racks are awesome. You'd be surprised what you can find at a new/used restaurant supply house.
cbv1
I am going to Costco tonight after work, so I will check things out there. If I don't see anything there I can hit Walmart. I really appreciate all the wonderful suggestions. You guys are great!
