Candle Makin Momma
I am testing a triangle Libbey container with these specs:Ezsoy1 oz PP Pumpkin Pie CO from BCN1 Cranberry Dye chip ( an oops lol)I am testing the ECO 8 and Eco 10. The Eco 10 has a big flame and soot, but reached fmp in 2.5 hrs.The Eco 8 has no visable soot, steady flame but didn't reach FMP until the second lighting. I am leaning towards the 8 because I hate seeing that soot. Is that what you would do?
Scent Cellar
When I burn a soy candle I don't expect a full melt pool on the first burn so I think the ECO 8 is the best choice.
AngelaVA
If it's sooting on the first or second burn, it will likely be too hot later down the jar. I would go with the 8. Not getting a FMP on the first burn isn't that big of a deal to me, since the hangup will probably catch up further down.

Candle Makin Momma
Cool, I was thinking right then. Thanks
realmarcha
I wicked these triangles for quite some time using the cotton series. I found I did not get a full melt pool on the 1st, 2nd, and sometimes the 3rd burn depending on the fragrance and color used, but eventually the candle did catch up. If I wicked up trying to get a full melt pool on the 1st or 2nd burn, then I had sooting issues. If the 8 is working for you on the 2nd burn, I would go with it. Believe me, it will catch up.
