Brenda
Thought I could catch a breather, but I've got pounds and pounds of soap to make while I'm on break from school. Going to be hard to fit it in around the trip to Florida to see my in-laws so I made a couple of batches before I leave Saturday morning and will have about 7 more to make when I return. Here's yesterday's batches-one cut, one not cut yet.Cherry Crush - a straight cherry from SweetCakes in my regular base recipe plus sesame oil. Yum - if you like cherry!Cool Cucumber still in the mold, was yesterday afternoon's soap and is still a tad warm in the center. The FO from Nature's Garden (Cucumber Melon) soaped nicely. I added a small percentage of NG Watercress and Aloe for more of a "green" edge and it smells just right. I hope others think so too!Lots more to make on my return. Thanks for looking! Scented
Really like them both Brenda! I want to try the layers today ... just need to not get the sicky feeling while making and it might happen. I love that pinkish color and would beg to find out how you got it! Love the other and the swirls on it too.
Brenda
I have tons of soap to make next week as well...dreading it in one way and excited in the otherI know what you mean. It's always exciting play with colorants and ingredients and then see how the batches turn out, but hard to schedule the time to do it. Then there's the "repeat batch syndrome"....no thrill of discovery there...hopefully!Good luck to you and Grumpy with your restocking. Scented, the color is MMS Amethyst Pink. It is a fabulous colorant. Just mix with a little castor oil, stir, stir, stir, and dump it in your cool oils and stick blend a little before adding your lye. I can't say enough good things about this color. It adds a little zip to regular pinks too. A little goes a long way. No TD added and you get the almost translucent pink in the bars.
