elitenaildesign
I cant remember for the life of me how to figure how much oils I need for a mold. I have never claimed to be good at math. Here is what I do know. My husband made me a mold and the inside dimentions are 10x12 and I want the bars to be 1.5" or 2" thick. Anyone wanna give me a math lesson?:embarasse
CareBear
length X width X desired height X 0.4 = ounces of oils.12" X 10" X 1.5" (or 2", but those are pretty darned thick!) X 0.4 =
heirloomoriginals
for 1.5" bars it should hold about 4.5 pounds of oils. for 2", it will hold 6 pounds. I hope someone else double checks this for ya, just in care.HTH,Steph
elitenaildesign
I came up with 72oz for 1.5" . Is that right? Or is is 7.2lbs
CareBear
ounces baby! Divide by 16 to get your poundage... That's 4.5 pounds oils.

doris
Hi,summerbeemeadow.com has a calculator that will resize your recipe to fit whatever mold you have. I've used it several times. You can use it either with a new recipe, or use it to recalculate an old one to fit a new mold.Doris
