Steph in tx
May I ask, at what point did you do the swirl? Did you do this with the salt in there or not? Looks really nice!
KJohnson
yes with the salt and everything in there.Well I used Select shades...and I put a few drops of color into the whole batch.....and was trying to do an "in the pot swirl" Well that wasnt working ...So I scooped some out of the mold and put it in a cup and stirred some color in then poured "lines" of color on the top of the soap already in the mold..and swirled with a toothpick. CareBear
Really really nice! They are fun, aren't they! But before you get carried away, if you are making them just for yourself and your family be warned - a bar lasts almost FOREVER!!
Steph in tx
Thanks K! That's what I was afraid of....lol I'd be afraid the soap would go hard on me right away! I've been wanting to do these...just haven't tried yet.. Maybe tomorrow with this weather we're having!! Yours look lovely!

KJohnson
thank you everyone...It was a very fast process .. they were in the mold 40 minutes and thats it I cut and removed them they were still warm..almost too warm to touch.but I was so afraid I would wait too long and not be able to cut them.Im off to cook some supper while my lye cools then to make another batch!!
