ladysj
Ok I put 2 cups of potpourri in my cello bags. It just doesn't look like enough potpourri for the price. I would like to know how everyone else does theirs. How much do you put in a bag? What kind of price do you put on yours? I noticed that Yankme charges $14.99 for 10 ounces. The potpourri weight varies because some of it has larger pieces than the other so I'm not sure which route to go here.Stone Stew South suggests a retail of $4.50 per 2 cups so that is what I'm going by. Patti - IL
I just received my order from Stone Stew and I am going to start selling for $4.95 for 2 cups like her site says. I will see how it sells for that. I may either come down alittle or up depends on the market.HTH Patti - IL
ScentsandMore
I have to agree with you. Two cups does not look like much for that price. I have tried selling it twice with no luck. Don't know if people think the same as I do that two cups does not look like much for the money or if people around here doesn't care that much for potpourri. Think I'm going to give it up on it. sockmonkey
I don't know what botanicals you may be using, but I've seen bags of potpourri that sells for $.99. Potpourri that sells for that price is basically junk--it looks like a lot of cedar shavings with some small bits of floral fragments. The high-end potpourri like Yankee is filled with large, whole pods, leaves, etc, so they can command higher prices (plus they have name recognition).Sometimes I think the secret to selling potpourri--besides having scents that people like, is all in the packaging. Is there anything cute or unique about the way you are packaging your potpourri?
sassy-girl
Use a pretty label on the bag, something with a gold or silver band. Glitter tends to hold attention.. and draws people toward it
