willow candle
I have a question on the wicking with a 10 oz and 16 oz apothecary jar. Should I double wick and if so what would you recommend? Also if you suggest single wick which one? Thank you for your help. I really like the RRD's but have the cotton on order from bittercreek. Thanks againWillow
Lightning Bug
Are these the apothecary jars? With 3 1/2" I have sometimes been able to single wick, but not to my liking. 4" needs double wicking, I think. The Rrds work good on double wicking. Seems I started with 34s and 40s and then went up or down. My soy was from a hard to melt batch and needed bigger wicks then the average soy. Good luck. willow candle
Thanks Beth,I did try the single wicking and am not happy, I remelted and did a repour. It is Iced Cinnamon Rolls.. Which I am assuming is a "heavy scent" I have in them right not 2 RRD's 40 and another with 2 RRD 47.. So I am hoping this works
Carriegsxr6
I have been successful with two RRD 34s in the 10oz apothecary. Be patient and give it time to reach a full MP. I usually test burn for 3-4 hrs at a time. Sometimes it will take two burns to fully reach the sides.
