Flowers
I'm very new and very frustrated. I am using Pillar Wax 4625. I know it is preblended but can I add more vybar to it to get a better scent throw. I've been following everyone's directions down to the wire and I'm still not succeeding. I've adjusted my FO between 1 oz per pound up to 1.5 oz per pound. No luck. By the way I'm making 3" pillar candles with a 51-32-182 wick. Thank you to anyone who can save me from myself! HA! grama
I use the 4625 for my pillars and have no problem with scent throw. I do not add any additives to my pillar wax. The only problem I have is it seems with certain scents, there have been about 3 over several years, that I get little white spots in them and nothing I can do changes it. Finally on last batch just melted them down and did rustics! I had been using zinc wicks but just recently changed to the flat braid, like this better, hate the mushroom. hthI normally use 1.25 oz of fo, on some only need 1 oz
MaryinCary
Adding more vybar could actually hinder your quest for a better throw. I would look more at the quality of the FO. If you are sure you are using good quality FO's then I would think it was a wicking problem.
