kidsngarden
I was thinking of charging the same as the body shop - $8.00 for a 1.67 Oz container. Bethany
Kimberly
I know I am going to be told that my price is too cheap from some but I charge $10 per 4oz jar. I cannot charge an astronomical amount to my customers. To me, if I am base my pricing on stores like the Body Shop or Bath & Body Works, well they will just go there and get it. HeavenScentU
I must be selling mine very cheap. I sell a 1 oz. tin for $4.50 ea. Now I am seeing 4 oz. body butter for $1.00 at the dollar store. How do we compete with that?
EmpressC
When I start selling body butters (and anything else for that matter), I'm am going to sell for just as much as Bath & Body Works and The Body Shop and others. If my product is just as good (or better) than their's, why shouldn't I get the same amount of money? If people want to pay $1 for body butter, they should go do that. But they will be getting a poor quality product, so it is a $1 wasted, most likely.
kidsngarden
Thanks for the replies. I agree with EmpressC - My body butter is fabulous and VERY different from any of the big guys so why not charge at least what they do?I think I will stick to my $8.00 - hey, I can always go down!Bethany
sudsnwicks
Bethany I think that would be fine. Because I'm assuming yours is not an emulsified body butter (you had mentioned yours is very different from that of the big guys) which is what Body Shop sells. The type without water is much more concentrated and little really does go a long way. For Body Shop's you would use it like any other cream and it will finish much faster. Noodle
I sell my 4 oz body butters for $8.50. I guess I am too cheap. But I am not so sure because I make a good amount in profit per jar.
Crafty1
i sell 4 oz for $10.00 (this is the recipe that includes water). as the winter approaches I will do a non-water butter in 4 oz which i plan to sell for 12.00, but might very well keep it at 10.00. Robertal
How much would you sell body butter that you buy as a base and not that you make.
Crafty1
i would still probably sell the body butter for 10 even it was a base.
