NattyCat Posted April 4, 2007 Share Posted April 4, 2007 is it soy or paraffin. Where did you get your oil? Depending on the wax you used and the FO you used - you may need to wait a while. It really does come down to the FO though. The cheaper the quality, the longer you have to wait. Then make the next lot with the best wick and put them away (out of Anjie's sight) for a week or so to test for scent throw.Does that make sense??Anjie,x. Get my oils currently from Sensory Perfection and the soy was from a lady on ebay (now I know where to get it from) shall be using Nat from now on. Its eco soy.Mines really to test the wicks. katinka Posted April 4, 2007 Share Posted April 4, 2007 I test paraffin 2 to 3 days after making them but I know of people who light them after 24 hours to test wicks.Soy has to wait a bit longer, anything from 4 - 5 days for me.HTH! That's because candles can burn differently at the top than they do at the bottom of the jar, when all that nice heat is being retained in the container.
