spatreats4u
so I am getting the guts to go through with trying soap for the first time. I am trying to gather all my supplies and my question is about scales. What kind of scale/where did you get it..I have a postal scale but I dont think that would work??? I will be using a simple recipe where my postal scale will work but if by chance I brave out and use a more complex recipe I want to be prepared.boy oh boy just to get prepared :embarasse
nmhoneybear
I got a digital scale at Wal-Mart. I found it in the kitchen gadget aisle. It was about $30. I have only been soaping for a couple of months and also use a simple recipe, but it seems to work really well.Good luck! Soaping is so much fun!Valerie:)
traceyy
I have a postage scale that I use. it weighs from 5lbs to 0.1 ounce. I make 2 lb batches and havent had a problem as of yet. However when I make lotion I have a scale that I got at office depot for $35 that weighs ounces and grams.
Carrie
I have a postal scale that I bought at the Post Office. It weighs up to 10lbs and is accurate to .1oz. I think I paid $35. I'm looking for a new scale but only because I want a gram scale.
