lindanelson
This is some scrub that I made this morning.I only had to use cream on my face. Usually I have to use cream all over. It's been a couple hours and my legs and arms are still soft.
ladysj
That looks nice. I never thought about using oatmeal in scrubs.Did you add any oils to it?
lindanelson
Hi;Thank you. I only used shea butter and oatmeal in this.I didn't measure anything. This is for my use only.I melted some shea butter in the microwave for 30 seconds. Ground up the oatmeal in the blender. Mixed the two together and used some.I did put some liqupar optima in it. lindanelson
This scrub is wonderful as it is. I really like not having to use cream everyday. Makes getting ready for work at 4 in the morning faster.I'm going to tweak this a little bit though. I'm going to add a little bit of jojoba oil to it. It hardened up too much for my liking. It still works though.
jwahlton
I never thought about using oatmeal in scrubs.Well me neither! That sounds great. Thanks for the idea
Hibiscus
The oatmeal is the exfoliator? I would think it might be too soft but then I always grind mine to a fine powder for soap. I know that shea makes an incredibly moisturizing scrub:drool: Good Job!
Jadryga
Looks awesomely creamy! Is the preservative really necessary though, since it's waterless, or did you put it in as a failsafe?
Carriegsxr6
Looks awesomely creamy! Is the preservative really necessary though, since it's waterless, or did you put it in as a failsafe?if she is using it in the shower i would put the preservative in it, cause it will eventually come in contact with water
lindanelson
Yes, the preservative is because of using this in the shower.I added about a Tablespoon of Jojoba oil to this. Went to use it this morning, and it is still hard.I'm going to have to really work on getting this usuable. The first day it was really nice. Might need to add more oil and whip it.
