HeavenScentU
I have a recipe that I am going to try tonight and want to switch out the cocoa butter to shea butter, but it is an edible message butter and I need to know if unrefined shea butter is edible. I don't want to be licking it off my hubby and drop dead...TIA!
kidsngarden
I use refined shea in my lip balms and no one's died yet, LOL! I would imagine un refined would be ok, but I've never used it.And I guess it depends too on how MUCH you were planning on licking off!Bethany
Carrie
I copied this from the Agbanga Karite website."Shea butter is an important food and cosmetic oil, and shea butter is also deeply embedded in the ceremonial practices of various ethnic groups in central Togo."Shea Culture

DoLLz
I knew someone that had about 40 lbs of shea butter in their workshop. While on vacation out of the country, rats somehow got into the workshop and ate ALL the shea butter. They didn't die either until the pest/rodent man came and snapped them with traps. Tall Blonde
I found shea butter listed as an ingredient in a chocolate bunny at the grocery store.
