Mnhorsemom
Has anyone here tried making soap with caffeine in it? I saw some advertised somewhere and would like to try making it. I think To Die For carries the caffeine, just not sure how to go about making the soap.
AkainePSP
I don't mean to sound like an idiot but what is the purpose of caffiene in soap? Does it do something special?
TexasBrat
Here is the recipe Judy (TDF) use to have on her old board but she told me she never made it. I don't believe the caffeine is in stock right now.Vigor Cellulite BarIngredients: 3.5 oz (5.47%)16 oz 76 (25%)16 oz (25%)16 oz (25%)6 oz (9.38%)6.5 oz (10.16%)Total Oils 64 oz or 4 lbs. = 9 oz (5% supperfat) to 9.4 oz (1% supperfat)Purified Water discount 20% = 20 ozSugar 1 TBLSSalt 1/2 TBLS2 oz 1 oz Directions:Reserve 4 oz of water for dissolving caffeine. Add Sugar and Salt to remaining water and mix well to completely dissolve. Add lye to water carefully and put aside to cool. Melt oils and allow to cool to 110F. While oils are cooling, bring reserve (4oz) water to boil and add Anhydrous Caffeine. Stir well until completely dissolved. Add cooled lye solution carefully to oils and mix well. As soon as light trace occurs, add caffeine mixture and continue mixing till trace. Add Peppermint EO and pour into molds. After 24 hours, unmold and cut into bars. Cure for 4 to 6 weeks. Anhydrous Caffeine is very effective in reducing the appearance of cellulite and many other health benefits.

I still have some of their caffeine from last year and have been thinking of playing with this recipe again, but dont have avocado oil and dont really feel like picking any up. TexasBrat
I would think you can add it to any recipe.
