Kymber
I have been adding salt and sugar and silk to my veggie blend soaps. I made a batch of Lavender, Cucumber & Sage a couple weeks ago and noticed on the top of it this morning that there is a shiney looking substance. Thought it was FO but tasted it and it is just a tiny bit sticky and sweet. Assuming it is sugar? Anyone ever have this happen? I have been adding this to my soap for about 3-4 months and this is the first time I have seen this. I haven't cut the log so no clue what the inside looks like....the outside edges look fine....just on the top? Weird!
Carriegsxr6
i get this sometimes too and i dont use sugar or salt. i use castor, but dont know if that matters. I think what it is, is sweat beads or something.
