Meridith
How much liquid did you add? You might have added too much. Give it some time and it just might be O.K. If not, lesson learned. We all have those lessons we've learned too.
Morganst
The first time I rebatched, my soap was soft for a good 4 months. Leave it alone for a while as it might be OK. Or you could always try again. Rebatching requires a lot less liquid than you think. You could also try soaking the shreds overnight in the liquid. - makes the job a lot easier. LOVEDOG49507
i added about 3 tablespoons of water
Meridith
Give it some time then and it hopefully it will be o.k. since that really is not that much water. If not, next time only try 2 TBS and see how that does. It is all about experimenting to see what works and what doesn't. Let us know how it goes. Carriegsxr6
that does sound like too much water. 3tbl of water for only 1 cup of soap??
Meridith
Oops, I was thinking 1 lb and not 1 cup even though you said 1 cup. I agree, it probably was too much.
