Angel91805
So, look at this soap. It's Solas Guavaberry that I ended up HPing. I made it a few months ago. Now I gave my MIL a bar of this for Mother's day three weeks ago and there was NO discoloration on any of the bars. Why's it all brown and yucky now?Hpmf. Thankfully, I only have 3 bars left.... Carrie
DOS would be my guess.
prairieannie
Yep.. DOS! Bummer Been there, done that. Sorry girl. You can still use it yourself, but selling it is probably not a good idea, and giving it away.. well, the spots spread LOL. They won't get any better. Meridith
Ugh the dreaded DOS!!! I find I get it if I use too much of an oil with a short shelf life and/or too high of a sf % .:undecided
Angel91805
Hmmm....I didn't realize that Dreaded Orange Spot could be brown! I have DOS in a different bar of soap from a different batch and it's Hello-Here-I-Am-ORANGE.This particular recipe has a 61 in the moisterizing category....not one I plan to use any more....not hard enough for me! Thanks!Donna

Had it been white, you would have gotten a truer orange.
Scented
Was just thinking that suds. The ones that plagued some soap I had were from yellow to orange to a light brown. Color of soap was mix of green and blue.
