NancyT
I'm like DeJae. I run recipes through the soap calculator but I'm not real sure what percentage the hardness; cleansing; bubbles; etc. should be. Is there a chart or listing somewhere or is it just kind of personal preference? This is probably not the place to post this but does anyone have a recipe for a nice baby soap? Forgive me for asking if there is one already posted. I just happened to think of it while I was posting. I'll take a look. Thanks,NancyT
Carriegsxr6
When using the Soapcalc, look at the top row of links, there is one that says "Soap Qualities", this will expain each quality and give you a starting range. you can adjust from there for your own preference. Crafty1_AJ
Regarding the question about baby soap: For infants, I recommend bathing in plain water. For babies, I'd use a gentle castile. You can go 100% olive, or 90% olive and 10% castor for improved lather. I'd water discount (I use 33% solution when I make castile). Can't get much milder than castile. DeJae, I can much more easily evaluate recipes if they are given in percentages rather than raw weights.
