Alajane Posted June 29, 2007 Share Posted June 29, 2007 My son gave me a very nice color laser printer that he had only used a few months, but when he moved into a smaller house, he didn't have room for a home office. So I hadn't investigated color printers and really only use it for black and white. So this morning when I couldn't get anything to print, after troubleshooting for about 2 hours, I finally decided that evidently you can't print when one of the color toners is empty! SO I switched over to my many years old black/white printer, only to find that it was giving a "change drum" message! Now I'm sitting here sandwiched between two printers, neither of which will print one page for me!!! Annoyed doesn't begin to describe it!So now I guess my job is to try to find out where I can get reasonably priced toner cartridges for a Samsung CLP-510 color laser printer. Any suggestions? Since DH is out of work right now, I sure hate to have to replace all the toner cartridges, but wonder if I need to order all of them to have on hand.Oh, well, mostly venting--but also in hopes of a great toner supply place!Jane Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Carrie Posted June 29, 2007 Share Posted June 29, 2007 Go to an online supply store like staples and click on ink/toner then click on Samsung then click on the CLP-510 series and it will show you the inks. After doing much research for reasonable supplies, we found this one has the best prices for our toners and drums. I have the four in my printer plus a cyan and yellow not opened. (Of the ones in the printer, I had just changed the black and magenta). My printer died and I bought a new Dell 3110cn. I have my printer book out and am searching through it, trying to find out if the two printers are compatible.
