Ilona
HiI just bought my 2ND bottle of unscented Monoi thinking that the 1st bottle went rancid on me, but nope, it's the normal scent of deoderized Monoi Oil. This last one came from From Nature With Love and on its own it is SO sour! Anyone know how to mask this? ANyone worked with it?Anyone soaped it? If you've soaped deoderized monoi, do you have a recipe? If everyone has no idea then:Anyone want this stinky stuff?! man. I'm bummed. Carrie
Ummm, Monoi is just coconut oil that has been infused with gardenia flowers and sometimes FO is added. I can't figure out why anyone would buy deoderized monoi. That would be to infuse the scent of the flower and then remove the scent of the flower. hawaiiansun
Never tried unscented monoi. Like Carrie said it has gardenia in it and it's the bomb.
CareBear
I found the unscented to have just a hint of a sour-earthy scent.I've run across scented and unscented - but never "deodorized" from which one would infer a scent had been there in the first place. From what I've read in many places, the infusion with gardenia flowers doesn't add scent - just those "qualities" that monoi is supposed to add. The scent is added separately.
