deputy6512
do you buy lotions/soap from someone and include those with gift baskets and such? I am considering doing this for Xmas, just wondering if anyone else does this:cool:
cindym
I think a lot of people do, I do it for a few people.

Trish
My best friend makes b&b, so we are always combining our products for gift baskets, etc.
AngelaVA
I plan to do this for Christmas. I would love to add B&B to my line onevday, but definitely not before Christmas.
tlc26
I did only make candles! I did not put soap or b&b in baskets. Now I am expanding with soap. Lotion is next! It is a disease I am telling you. It is like a virus. A really bad infection that won't go away!

sudsnwicks
If you want your gift baskets to have other things besides candles, another option (besides buying lotions/soaps) is to include other things you made yourself e.g. fudge or jam. ebcandles
You could always buy a base as well so that you could keep the same scent combination.:smiley2:
deputy6512
EB...if I buy a base, do I then just mix a scent with it or what? I'm clueless, never ventured off into the world of BandB
AngelaVA
I bought a sample of BC's lotion base. I added some Blackberry Freesia FO and I LOVE it. It isn't greasy at all and that Fo smells wonderful. Also, it was really easy to make. With this base, you don't have to add anything but FO to it. Not sure about other bases, b/c BC is the only one I have tried.

sudsnwicks
It may be easier than trying to order from someone else. Definitely, since you already have all those FO's sitting in your cupboard. It should be more economical too.

MichelleOH
EB...if I buy a base, do I then just mix a scent with it or what? I'm clueless, never ventured off into the world of BandB Yes, you would just add scent and color. I started making my own soaps and such and it's addictive as candles;)
tlc26
You can get some great bases at WSP and NG. I do warn you though!! before you start dumping FO into bases!! !Please make sure you check if your FO is b&b safe. Some FO are not safe for skin products, some do not react well in chemical reactions etc. Every supplier I have ordered Fo from lists if they are safe for applications other than candles....which brings me to a question....I have noticed on Peak that some FO say soap safe, while others say b&b safe, is there a huge difference? I know the reference to soap may be how it reacts for trace, but is something that is soap safe not b&b safe or vice versa?
