Trish
I did it through GoDaddy last year. Some "oldies" may remember a few years ago, when I registered my business name, someone bought my domain a few days later. One of those companies that just buys and resells domains. (This is why I tell everyone to buy their site NOW if it's available)So I've been waiting for the guy to let it expire so that I can have it. It didn't look like that was going to happen, so I decided to see how much the site was worth to make an offer because it was really important to me to get it.Anyhow, I did the whole thing, but somehow in the process on the phone with GoDaddy, the guy sees that the name is actually available and I don't need to use his services, he can just register the domain to me.My point is, I did do the appraisal but didn't end up using it. I'd have to go back through some notes, but the the site was worth something like $49-$150 They emailed me a copy of the appraisal that explains what they take into account to determine the worth.Well I rambled enough...hope that helps.
