superlolly
Hello, does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy lye in St. Louis, MO? Thank you for your time!
Carriegsxr6
have you already tried your local Lowes store? They sell a brand called Roebic 100% lye crystals and you can find in in the plumbing and pipe section.

DONNAMAC
I am close to St.Louis, and have found that most Ace hardware stores are the only place you can find it. None of the Lowes around here carry it.So far, every Ace that I have been in does carry it. It is calledRooto's crystal household 100% lye.16 oz. for $3.79. Crafty1_AJ
Have you tried Harcros Chemical in St. Louis? They have a facility there, as well as one here in the KC area. That's where I get my (bulk) lye.

That's where I get my (bulk) lye. Im not sure if thats the company I know of but a friend in Il told me she gets it from a chemical supply house in stlouis and buys like 50# or 100# bags and the price is so low you couldnt pass it up. 50 cents to 1.00 a pound something like that. Crafty1_AJ
Yes, that sounds like Harcros. 50 lb. bags and the price per lb. is great!
