kforbs126
Do you guys include the shipping cost of product shipped to you when factoring how much it costs to make your candles? The reason I ask is I always know how many jars, wax, wick and the shipping involved in that but when I order FO I don't always order the same amount so the shipping can be a few dollars more or less. sudsnwicks
Yes I do. Each time I order, I redo those numbers. So it wouldn't matter if I order different quantities of FO (which I do).
grama
With my fo I have so many that are priced differently I just get an average of them all and that is what I charge every time. To me it is easier to have my price set and not have to change it with new shipments.
sudsnwicks
Using an average is fine too! The only reason I do it with each shipment now, is because I want to avoid a big job at the end of the year.
heirloomoriginals
Here is a helpful tool for figuring shipping:http://www.soapmaker.ca/tools.htmI have been trying to make it a point when I get a new shipment to enter it into this spreadsheet so I can get a more exact cost for my products!Steph
