AshiePoo
Okay, I got my Blackberry Sage FO from Peaks and was so excited-it's da bomb! So I whipped up some soy lotion and used it right away...the scent faded in 20 min.! I am so upset! This is my fav scent, and I can't find a lasting one to save my life! Anyone have any luck with this scent? I am going to go ahead and try it in soy and CP, but I am not holding my breath. On the up-side- I did get Meddit. Fig and Casaba Mist and Black Raspberry Van.-they are amazing! And so is Amish Harvest-OOB it smells like red hots, I don't like Cinnamon, but I know it's gonna be a good one! jennhalcyon
I don't soap, but I know that KY has a really nice blackberry sage also. HTH!
chopsgirl
I use Alabaster and Nature's Garden and both of them have a great shelf and product life.
Crafty1_AJ
I'm not sure whether you used a pre-made base or made lotion from scratch. But if you did the latter, I have found that lotion scents need a day or two to "cure" ... although they may seem weak at first, they get stronger the next day or so.JME. Scent Cellar
I use Blackberry Sage from Peaks in my lotions and body butters and the scent doesn't fade at all. It's a great scent in CP soap also. No fading at all.
Fire and Ice
I would say your sense of smell has built up a tolerance to the scent. You need to walk away from it for a week or two and then try it again. Peaks seldom, if ever, fails me as far as scent throw! Fire
Sharon in KY
Are you saying it fades on your body after applying? I haven't found very many that we make last in a spray or lotion. Don't know why the commerical ones last so much longer. It can't be strength cause you would want the scent to smell any stronger so it had to be a certain chemical that makes it stick. AshiePoo
Sorry, I forgot to specify... I put it in BCN's lotion base. I know it is a strong scent, but within 10-15 min of putting it on, I can no longer smell it. I don't think I have gotten used to it, because I smell it when I am putting it on. I guess, some just last longer than others. I know the black raspberry vanilla lasted for hours in the same lotion. I just wondered if anyone had the same thing, and found a Blackberry Sage from another supplier that lasts longer. Thanks so much for the replies! I love the support and knowledge given on this board!
