8-GRAN-ONES
I had a question about using my Kitchen Aid Mixer..Do you ladies use the one that you would also use for cooking and Baking?I didn't know if that was the right thing to do, as your soap can splatter up on the mixer..I was concerned about the lye thing...????Or do you only use the stick blender? I know One of you Soapers will have the right answer..
heirloomoriginals
I think most of the soapers on here only use the KA for whipped soap, and use the sticker blender for regular soap batches. They do use the KA mixer for mixing lotions and other stuff, and you should use a separate mixer for that because of the FO and other ingredients.I hope I answered your questions!Steph
CareBear
I would never use a KA for regular soaping - splatters would be too dangerous!!! I HAVE used it for Nizzy's whipped soap, and plan to use it for a whipped rebatch I was told about, but NEVER for regular soaping.I'm still stunned people make soap in their BLENDERS. Can you imagine what would happen if that lid got off??Anywho, I actually DO use the same KA, attachment, and bowl for food - but if I was making lotions I wouldn't. No fear of contaminating the food tho LOL!
