If you are using it for lather, maybe add some plam kernel oil, if you are using it for the conditioning part, maybe add sunflower. How much in the recipe does it call for? Basically, castor is in a class by itself. Its contributions are conditioning and lather.Yes, you could use olive instead. It mainly contributes to conditioning, so your lather may decrease a bit.
