Scent Cellar
Nope, not a sin at all. It's almost to be expected for a new soaper but the soap will be better at 4 weeks and even better at 6 weeks.
Carrie
You actually were able to wait 2 weeks. Dang woman, you have some mighty will power.
DeJae
Gosh you guys are making me feel good, I didn't try to use my soap till 6 weeks cause that is what I was told.... I would look at it everyday and druel!
sudsnwicks
It is hard to wait when you are trying out a new recipe. So usually I'll take one bar to use pretty much right away (like the next day), then cure the rest of the batch for the full 1-2 months. mystical_angel1219
LMAO... no sin committed. I have never used a soap before four weeks minimum cure, ahem... to the best of my knowledge because I do use swap soaps at times, right out of the box. The longer the soap cures, the milder it becomes- generally. A well made castille could use a good six month cure before it is at peak perfection. naninkansas
Oh my gosh I couldn't stand to wait that long!!!I had to at least try a bar from each batch the next day.
Camay
I actually think it is a good idea to try your soap right after you cut it. Then try it again at one week, two weeks, three weeks, etc. You will learn what happens to your soap babies during the curing process. Meridith
I've never been able to wait either to use my soap but I won't sell it without a proper cure. And I've been doing this for awhile now and still get just excited unmolding each batch as I did with my first batch.
8-GRAN-ONES
I must confess...I did use it...It was soooo goooood...lots and lots of bubbles..felt so soft and creamy...That is a good idea to use it..wait another week and use it again to see how it really performs... Tall Blonde
I wouldn't be able to stand waiting for weeks to use a new soap! I can't wait to cut it and use it!
