snow
I made of bunch of xmas ornies and also a few football helmets decorated with the teams colors and stuff. But I noticed some of the paint chipped off. I used acrylic...what is the best way to paint these? I dont mean to paint the entire ornie, but just to add little tidbits on them. By the way, people just love the helmets!

snow
Ok, I heard this b4, what is puffy paint and where do you get it? I googled it and it comes up "how to make puffy paint", is that what you're doing? I never heard of it, I feel so stupid! But I'm learning something everyday here and I love it! kimmeroo
I think the puffy paint is sold with the fabric paint by Tulip! There is also a recipe I have seen ppl use on another board..also there is a Puffy Paint Writer..I don't know if you google that if it will help you or not! I do know the Tulip brand has the puffy but I don't know if it has just the white or not!? I always bought white. HTH a little.:undecided Kimmeroo:)
barncat
try mixing a candle sealer or modge podge with the paint.
snow
I have mod podge, how much would I mix? :undecided When I do the football helmets and paint around the edge, thats where the paint is coming off. I shrink wrapped them and I think the wrapper is doing it. Always a problem.....keeps your brain working thats for sure! Thanks
snow
I have the acrylic paint, I wonder if you could spray a sealer over it? Or paint clear mod podge over it. Anyone try this? Most of it stays on, only around the edges it comes off with the wrapping. Anyone have a suggestion? TIA

Donita
I first wipe the candle where you are applying paint with mineral spirits.....or give it a spray with Krylon matte varnish. Then the paint will stick better. I have been using puffy paint from Michaels for years. I have all of the shades of gold. I just draw on my design and they stick just fine for me. I love the little tubes. They are so easy to use and they come in all colors and last a long time. Donita
