Carriegsxr6
cool!!and it looks like if you buy the 12 lb lot, its only about $2.50 per lb. pretty good.

Scent Cellar
I buy my lye in 50 lb bags for $43 so I think that is too expensive.
CareBear
I'm not saying to buy it or that it's a good price - I just thought it was interesting that it listed soap making as a secondary use. A point of interest is all - not a promotion or recommendation.ETA: but there are a WHOLE lot of soapers who don't want 50# of lye.
Tall Blonde
Thanks for posting that! I'm finally running out of lye and will need to get more soon. I thought I'd have to make a 20 minute drive to Lowes, but now I'll only have to drive 5 minutes to Ace!
asheebeans
I wouldn't waste my money on that stuff! I had two botched batches with it (a recipe I had made several times before) and when I started researching alot of folks were having issues with that particular brand of lye. When I went to Roebic, I didn't have anymore probs. Thank goodness now I buy in larger quantities but I will never, even in a pinch, use Rooto again.
