TheWickChick
Just curious if anyone is selling these at craft shows and how they sell. Also not sure what to charge for the 3 oz and 8 oz bottles (will come with box & reeds). I am thinking $5 and $10. Retail for the 8 oz is usually between $10 and $15. My price wont make me much of a profit, only about $2 per item. Thanks for your advice.
Judy, USMC
The 3oz go for $10 - 12.50 and the 8oz go for $16 - 18 in my area.
airforcewife
I know that for how much that they cost to make the big retail stores mark them up alot. Where I work they are 5 oz and eight oz and sell anywere from 24.98 to 44.98 each and people are willing to pay that for them so if I were you I would raise my prices a little higher. debscent
We sell ours for $16.50 (2 ounces). I actually sold 15 of them today to someone I work with, cut him a deal at 2 for $30.
TheWickChick
$16.50 for 2 ounces? WOW!I'm looking at Target for their prices and they are about $10 for 3 oz, and $18-$24 for 8 oz. I dont live in an area of high spenders. I tend to raise my prices when I do shows in well-to-do areas and actually make more money then selling cheaper in the more economically challenged areas.$16.50 huh, that blows my mind. momtohaley2004
Where do you get these reed diffusers from? I've heard so much about them but don't know how to go about providing them to my customers. Anyone willing to help me out a little?
sockmonkey
Here's a link with a lot of information about them. If you want to find more, just do a search. There were a lot of posts in the candlemaking and business section regarding reed diffusers.http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48784&highlight=reed+diffusers

Debk
I am packaging 2 oz. bottles with 6 reeds. I thought that I would sell them for $10.00 each. On your refill bottles, do you also add half diffuser base and half oil? I use HG. thanks. Deb:)
Darbla
I'm seeing these at Burke's Outlet and other places I can't recall at the moment for $5 and less now. I don't see how anybody is getting $10 and up for them any longer.

Debk
Mine are going for $10.00 ea. or two for $16.
debscent
We don't have any problem selling ours for $16.50 or 2 for $30. People will buy the cheap ones, and always come back to ours. We intentionally made a long lasting product, instead of a cheaper product which would require more frequent replacements, etc.
MissMary
What do you mean by any longer? Because the market is saturated or because the novelty is wearing off?I think it's both, even though the stated info was from 9 months ago - I sell mine for $6 for a 2 oz bottle and 8 reeds. They are quality and last forever it seems, but even then - I can barely get them to move. Either people know about them and have tons, or they have no clue what they are.
